[Reversible loss]

Reversible loss

Temporary loss of magnetism, e.g. due to change of temperature. This loss can be reversed by cooling and/or remagnetization.

The reversible loss of a magnet is the change of magnetization of a magnet with changing temperature, due to the influence of an external field, or due to radiation. The magnetization will completely return to the original magnetization upon return to the original temperature.

The reversible loss can be characterized by the reversible temperature coefficient (RTC).
