Recycling Week - Basel - Switzerland

Goudsmit Magnetics is taking part in Recycling Week 2026, also known as the 4th World Recycling Convention. The event will take place from 22 to 23 June 2026 in Basel, Switzerland, and will bring together recycling specialists, technology providers, waste management companies, policymakers, researchers and sustainability professionals.

This year’s theme is: “Revitalizing the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Overcoming Obstacles and Inspiring Innovation.” The conference focuses on circular economy solutions, recycling technologies, plastics and e-waste recycling, green chemistry and new sustainable technologies.

Our CEO, Conré Oostrom, is one of the speakers at the conference. He will share insights into the contribution magnetic systems can make to recovering and purifying valuable raw materials. In recycling processes, magnetic separation plays an important role in separating ferrous metals, weakly magnetic metals and non-ferrous metals from waste streams. In this way, we help recyclers create cleaner and more valuable material fractions.
